PwC: Organizations Are Insufficiently Prepared for Attacks on AI Systems and Quantum Threats

PwC’s 2027 Global Digital Trust Insights survey, covering just under 4,000 business and technology leaders in more than 70 countries, indicates that many organizations are not adequately prepared for attacks targeting their own AI systems or for quantum threats. Respondents identified compromise by autonomous botnets (53%), adversarial attacks (52%), and data poisoning (52%) as the main threats they were unprepared to defend against. Only 21% of participants are implementing quantum-resistant security measures.
