Cyberattack shuts down refrigerators at French supermarkets
Attackers remotely defrosted refrigerators at multiple French supermarket chains overnight, raising their temperatures by triggering a built-in automatic defrosting system. The attack reportedly targeted older versions of Danfoss refrigeration-controller software. The incident reportedly affected 250 to 350 stores and caused financial losses and food waste.
