France establishes new government-focused cyber incident response unit

France’s national cybersecurity agency, ANSSI, is being equipped with REACTIV, a new unit dedicated to helping state services respond to cyber incidents. Its creation followed a major cyberattack on France’s tax authority, DGFiP, which exposed sensitive and personal data of between 350,000 and 678,000 taxpayers.
