Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW) reported that industrial control systems at five water treatment facilities were breached in 2025. In some cases, the attackers obtained the ability to modify equipment operating parameters, creating a direct threat to the continuity of water supply processes and the functioning of municipal infrastructure.
