AliExpress caught using silent audio to fingerprint visitors’ browsers

AliExpress’s website was reportedly found using silent Web Audio processing that could help fingerprint visitors’ devices. The processing did not record users through their microphones; it generated an inaudible signal and measured differences in how browsers and devices handled it.
